There’s something about a summer night that makes you want to stay outside just a little longer.

Maybe somebody starts a fire.
Someone else drags over another chair.

The backyard becomes another living space.

Cold drinks appear. Somebody brings something to snack on. Music is playing somewhere in the background, and before you know it, nobody remembers what time it is.

Those are some of the best nights. Nothing fancy. Nothing scheduled. Nobody trying particularly hard to make a memory.

Just people talking over one another, somebody laughing too loudly, food being passed around, music floating through the neighborhood, and that one person who says, “Okay, I really have to go…” and is still sitting there forty-five minutes later.

Maybe your summer nights looked like block parties and folding chairs in the street.

Maybe they were spent on the porch listening to crickets.

Maybe they were car rides with the windows down, backyard fires, music playing from somebody’s radio, or sitting outside with people you love talking about absolutely everything and nothing.

However they looked, I hope you get another one this summer.
Another warm night.
Another chair pulled up.
Another ridiculous conversation.
Another song that makes everybody say, “Ohhhh! Turn this one up!”
Another ordinary little night that you don't realize will become a memory until years later.

Summer isn't over yet.

Come live a little.

XO, Liz 🧡😎😊
